  • What Are The Requirements For Switching To A Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa?

    Successful applicants to switch to the Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa must be able to demonstrate that:

    • They have access to £50,000
    • They have a complete business plan which demonstrates how the business will succeed
    • They are competent in the English language to at least CEFR level B1
    • They are able to financially support themselves without reliance on government or public funds

    Successful applicants will also need to register as self-employed or the director of the UK company they are starting up or investing in within 6 months, invest their £50,000 and provide two full-time jobs to members of the settled population that will last for at least 12 months.

    Additional requirements that applicants must meet in order to successfully obtain the Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa include spending no more than 180 days in a 12 month period outside of the UK.

    Furthermore, once you have obtained your Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa, you will not be permitted to take up any other employment aside from that associated with the business relating to your visa.
